There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
First we have most people.
Most people have goals and dreams but sadly most people will never do anything to achieve them. They are discouraged by the sound of their own voice. They convince themselves that they are too young, too old, too small, too tall, to thin or too fat. They know for a “FACT” that they are too weak to fulfill their dreams so they decide to quit before they even start.
They know for a “FACT” that they are too weak to fulfill their dreams so they decide to quit before they even start.
They are the victims of the Enemy within, an evil traitor that wishes for nothing but for people to doubt their worth. He’s the ever-present voice in their heads whispering that it’s probably too hard and that it’s probably not worth it and urges them to quit before they even start.
The Enemy wins.
Then we have those that try but quit.
These are the guys and girls who disregard those whispers and go after what they want. These people start extremely motivated and have the will power that the previous quitters couldn’t even dream of. They say “I WILL DO IT” and they take the first step. They will not be stopped – or so they think. The Enemy is prepared, he knows of these people. He knows that for them the condescending whispers are nothing but a weak man’s voice. He knows that. He starts screaming at them. He belittles them. He wears them out with a never ending dose of metaphorical kicks and punches.
For those who took that first step without REALLY WANTING to succeed it is over. They never realized how hard it would be. They no longer have the time to go after what they want. They NEED to take a day off and that day becomes a week and that week becomes a month and eventually they just stop. These are the people who were going places but somewhere along the way they got afraid. The Enemy’s screams were too loud and the words too harsh. These people burned and crashed hard. They will never get back up and they will forever remember that they are cowards, that they are quitters.
Once again, the Enemy has won.
Come back next week to for part 2
